Approve holding a work session or executive session, on a date certain, to review the County Attorney's legal strategy regarding the hearing for 2 CA-CV 2023-0236, Daniel LaChance, Henry Stephen Conroy, et al. v. County of Cochise; Cochise County Jail District, et al., to be held in Division Two of the Arizona Court of Appeals on May 22, 2024.
Background:
Vice Chair Crosby has made this request: It is my belief that the Jail District tax election lawsuit appeal will be held on May 22, 2024. I want the Board to be informed of the CAO plans regarding that appeal, and I want the Board to direct those plans as per ARS 11-251 para 14.

Schedule a specific date for the work session or executive session with the County Attorney's Office.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The Board will not direct the County Attorney Office on how to proceed.
