Approve $4,024 matching funds as required to receive the Family Counseling Program funds $16,097 allocated to Cochise County by the Arizona Supreme Court/Administrative Office of the Court's, Juvenile Justice Services Division for fiscal year 12/13.

Background:

Family Counseling Program provides counseling services to juveniles and their families. Program funds are allocated by the Arizona Supreme Court/Administrative Office of the Court's Juvenile Justice Services Division to counties that provide the required twenty five percent (25%) matching funds and Juvenile Court Services includes the matching fund amount in the general fund budget submission for each fiscal year.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

Richard Searle, Chairman, Cochise County Board of Supervisors and Katie Howard, Clerk of the Board sign the attached Resolution to approve the matching fund amount $4,024.

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

Juveniles and their families in Cochise County will not receive counseling services that are provided with the funding.
