Approve Grant Award No. 693JJ32440373 from the Federal Highways Administration (FHWA) in the amount of $500,000 for the placement of seven electric vehicle charging stations in Cochise County with a local cash match of $125,000, effective June 13, 2024, through June 30, 2026.
Background:
The County won a highly competitive grant from the FHWA for the installation of seven electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. The charging stations will be installed at four locations in the County: two EV chargers at the Cochise County Melody Lane complex, Bisbee; two chargers at the Colonia de Salud County complex, Sierra Vista; one charger at the Foothills County facility, Sierra Vista; and two at the Willcox City Hall / Visitors Center, Willcox.
