Approve the Victims' Rights Program (VRP) Award Agreement, A.G. #:2013-002, in the amount of $27,150 between the Arizona Attorney General and the Cochise County Attorney's Office, for the period July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013.

Background:

The award amount of $27,150 is to be used by the Cochise County Attorney’s Victim Witness Program to provide funding for one full-time Clerk III responsible for victim notification on criminal cases.

Fiscal Impact & Funding Sources: Attorney General's Victim Rights Program, funds deposited into Fund 126.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

Submit signed grants to grant source for funding.

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

If not funded, the County general fund would have to absorb this position as it is a mandated service.
