Approve the award of Invitation for Bids (IFB) No. 13-09-FMD-04 to Midway Chevrolet for the purchase of two 2012 Silverado 4WD Crew Cab Trucks for the Fleet Management Department in the amount of $58,553.52 plus applicable sales tax.
Background:
IFB No. 13-09-FMD-04 was released on August 21, 2012. The bid was advertised in the Arizona Range News on August 29 and September 5, 2012 and posted on the County website. Bid notices were mailed to 19 vendors. One bid was received prior to the bid closing date and time of September 13, 2012 at 4:00 p.m.

Issue purchase order, inspect vehicles upon delivery.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The vehicles that these are replacing will exceed the designated replacement mileage which is 155,000 miles for law enforcement vehicles. The replaced vehicles will be used as rotational vehicles and assigned to other departments and driven to 175,000 miles. Non replacement of the law enforcement vehicles will result in higher maintenance costs and may represent some liability issues.
