Discussion and potential action regarding the settlement proposal notification forwarded by Burnet County’s legal counsel, Simon Greenstone Panatier, with defendants Purdue Pharmacy (associated businesses plus owners), Alvogen, Amneal, Apotex, Hikma, Indivior, Mylan, Sun, and Zydus over opioid litigation, In re national Prescription Opiate Litigation, MDL No 2804.  Settlement for the State of Texas is calculated to be $286,579,921.29 of which Burnet County’s allocation shall be dependent upon the state’s distribution agreement with its subdivisions.  Potential action to include authorizing the Burnet County Judge to sign applicable subdivision participation and release documents.
