An executive/ closed session meeting will be held pursuant to section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code (consultation with attorney) for the Commissioners Court to consult with and seek advice from its attorney regarding a settlement proposal forwarded by Burnet County counsel, Simon Greenstone Panatier, with Defendants Associated Pharmacies Inc., American Associated Pharmacies, J.M. Smith Co., Louisiana Wholesale Drug Company, Inc., Morris and Dickson, N. Carolina Wholesale Drug Company Inc., and UNFI/SuperValu in national prescription opiate litigation, MDL No. 2804. If accepted, proposed action will include granting authority to the Burnet County Judge to sign applicable release documents.
