Discussion of Possible Feeding of Wildlife Ordinance.
DESIRED OUTCOME:
Provide staff with direction regarding creating an ordinance that limits the feeding of Wildlife inside City limits.
INFORMATION:
Mayor Nabours requested an agenda item to discuss an ordinance that would limit the feeding of wildlife within the City limits. A majority of Council agreed to place such an item on the agenda. Mayor Nabours has requested a presentation by Arizona Game and Fish. This will be delivered to Council during the meeting. The Mayor has also crafted a draft ordinance which he anticipates introducing to the Council. Lastly, the Mayor requested, and the Police Department provided, statistics on the number of deer and elk accidents in past years. That information is attached.
