TITLE:
Consideration and Ratification of Settlement: settlement of Laura and Mark Walsh v. City of Flagstaff, et al. lawsuit.
STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:
- Ratify approval of the settlement of the Walsh v. City of Flagstaff, et al. lawsuit pursuant to the terms discussed in executive session.
Executive Summary:
This lawsuit stems from a slip and fall outside the Jay Lively Activity Center. Outside counsel representing the City reached a settlement with Mrs. and Mr. Walsh and we are now seeking ratification by the City Council. The settlement and legal advice related hereto were discussed with the City Council in Executive Session on April 8, 2025.
Financial Impact:
Funding for this settlement is available through the City's self-insurance trust fund.
