Consultation with Hope Construction (David Carpenter) for requirement of Cultural Resource Study for a proposed demolition.
Findings:
With the indication of a proposed demolition of a contributing property the consultation with the developer was instructed that at a minimum a letter report would be required.
Information:
The home is located in the Southside Historic District and is a contributing element of the district. The primary home was constructed in 1948 (72 years old) and has indications of being a stone building. It was indicated it is in poor shape but HPO has not inspected the property. The developer has indicated that the intent is to demolish both structures.
