Update on the Flagstaff Regional Plan Process

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Flagstaff Regional Plan Update is in Phase 2 of its Public Participation Plan (What's Possible?/What's the Vision?). Visioning Workshops are underway through November 14th and a contract for scenario planning has been placed on the October 18th City Council meeting agenda for approval.
INFORMATION:
The Flagstaff Regional Plan is a policy guide, serving as the general plan for the City of Flagstaff and an amendment to the Coconino County Comprehensive Plan. As mandated by state law, the plan covers a range of topics with information on current conditions and our vision for the future as it relates to the topic at hand. In addition, the plan outlines carefully developed goals and policies to realize the future vision.

- Produced 21 webinars and 12 background documents called Regional Snapshots
- Conducted a SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats assessment with over 20 boards, commissions, and partners
- Attended 12 community events for outreach and project education, such as the FUSD STEAM Day, Concerts in the Park, and the Coconino County Fair
- Conducted art-based outreach with community-based organizations and schools such as Northland Family Health Care and we are coordinating to continue this outreach in more organizations through Spring 2023.
- 15 meetings with community organizations and partners scheduled at their board or staff preferences.
- Sent over 40,000 postcards to City and County residents announcing visioning workshops and the availability of the online visioning survey/
- Grown the email list for the project to 312 recipients
