Micromobility share
STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Executive Summary:
The City is working with MetroPlan and NAU to explore options for implementing a scooter/bike share program in Flagstaff.

Updates:
- An interagency team with representatives from City Engineering, City Sustainability, MetroPlan, Mountain Line, and NAU presented to Council last week to share results of the outreach phase and offer an official recommendation on bringing a micromobility share company to Flagstaff
- The staff recommendation was to open a procurement process which will allow 1 vendor to operate in Flagstaff, and they will enter into a contract with the City which requires special considerations to safety, parking, management, and winter operations
- The Council offered their unanimous support to proceed with procurement while keeping stakeholder input as a driving force throughout the process
