TITLE:
Consideration and Approval of Settlement in the matter of Standard Construction Company Inc. v. City of Flagstaff, S0300CV202500146, currently pending in Coconino County Superior Court
STAFF RECOMMENDED ACTION:
- Approve settlement of the matter of Standard Construction Company Inc. v. City of Flagstaff pursuant to the terms discussed in executive session on October 20, 2026 and in the attached settlement agreement, and
- Authorize and direct the City Attorney to execute all documents and take such other actions as are necessary to finalize the settlement.
Executive Summary:
This lawsuit arises from a construction contract dispute between the City of Flagstaff and Standard Construction Company, Inc. The project at issue is located in the Coconino Estates neighborhood in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Financial Impact:
Funding for the settlement will be as follows:
