SUBJECT:
Approval of Florida Job Growth Infrastructure Grant Agreement in the amount of $1,917,841.00 and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with FPUA.
SUMMARY:
The City has been approved for a grant from Florida Job Growth Grant Fund in the amount of $1,917,841.00 which will benefit the citizens of Fort Pierce and customers of the FPUA. The City of Fort Pierce intends to enter into a Florida Job Growth Infrastructure Grant Agreement with the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) for an Industrial Sewer Connection and Septic Tank Closure Program. The City intends to enter into a MOU with the Fort Pierce Utilities Authority to complete the project and assist in the fulfillment of the requirements of the DEO Grant Agreement.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the MOU and the Job Growth Infrastructure Grant Agreement
