SUBJECT:
Approval of Engineering Design & Construction, Inc. (EDC) Specific Authorization No. 13 for permitting and engineering design of reconstruction of Citrus Avenue between U.S. Highway 1 and 7th Street in the amount of $99,295.00.
SUMMARY:
The intersection of S.5th Street and Citrus Avenue has a history of flooding during significant storm events. In order to facilitate the conveyance of stormwater runoff, staff would like to contract with EDC to proceed with the permitting and engineering design of the reconstruction of Citrus Avenue roadway between U.S. Highway 1 and S. 7th Street. Project improvements will include a storm drain connection to the S. 7th Street 60" RCP storm drain, reconstruction of the double lane one-way road to a single lane one-way road complete with on-street parking, sidewalks, curb/gutter, decorative street lighting, landscaping, and brick paver crosswalks.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval.
