Resolution 24-R40 Establishing the Military Hometown Hero Banner Program and Adopting Policies and Guidelines and an Application
SUMMARY:
During the City Commission Conference Agenda Meeting on May 9, 2022, staff received direction to proceed with a new banner program aimed at honoring and recognizing individuals from the City of Fort Pierce who are currently serving or have served in the military. Following further program development efforts, staff recommends the implementation of the new Military Hometown Hero Banner Program through the accompanying resolution. The program includes guidelines, policies, and an application, all prepared and ready for implementation pending the resolution's approval.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the approval of the resolution.
ALTERNATIVES:
Staff will proceed as directed by the City Commission.
