SUBJECT:
Approve grant award for Mr. Wilson Ruiz for his business, W&J Caribe II Foods, Inc. in the amount of $3,000 as an eligible recipient under the 2015-2016 CDBG Action Plan - Grant Award for Small Business.
SUMMARY:
2015-2016 CDBG provided funding for small business grants after attending two small business workshops for items to improve capacity and sustainability. Mr. Ruiz attended workshops 5/18 and 8/18 and applied for a grant to help cover the costs of a new grease interceptor for his business.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve a grant award for $3,000 for Mr. Ruiz to help cover the costs of a new grease interceptor for W&J Caribe II Foods, Inc.
ALTERNATIVES:
Do not approve this grant award.
