Resolution 17-R18 Declaring Certain Property as Surplus
SUMMARY:
City Staff have reviewed the following properties and are recommending in preparation of a forthcoming RFP/RFQ for the former HD King Site, these City owned parcels be declared surplus. These parcels were reviewed at a recent Planning Board meeting and unanimously recommended to be declared surplus in accordance with Sec. 2-223(4) of the City's Code of Ordinances.
The Planning Board also noted support for a hotel, and encouraged potential developers to build parking that can be utilized not just by their complex but also by the general public and augment the parking available downtown.
The surplus property designation by the City mirrors a similar declaration for the FPRA Owned parcels on the former HD King site.
