SUBJECT:
Approval of an lnterlocal Agreement between the City of Fort Pierce and St. Lucie County beginning October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018 for cooperation on state lobbying in an amount not to exceed $25,000.
SUMMARY:
The St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners and the City of Fort Pierce desire to collaborate on the provision of lobbying services and representation in Tallahassee, FL, during the 2018 legislative session. This interlocal agreement outlines the path of cooperation for lobbying services, representation, efficient use of public resources, allocation of responsibilities, and the designation of one or more parties to administer or execute the agreement beginning October 1, 2017 and automatically terminating on September 30, 2018.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of agreement, which has been approved as to form and correctness by the City Attorney.
ALTERNATIVES:
Staff will proceed as directed by the City Commission.
