Re
FPRA Resolution 26-24 Authorizing or Denying a Fourth Amendment - 207 Orange Ave
Submitted For:
Shyanne Harnage

SUBJECT:

FPRA Resolution 26-24 Authorizing or Denying a Fourth Amendment to Grant Agreement for Commercial Facade Improvement located at 207 Orange Ave.

SUMMARY:

The Recipient, Jetset Events, LLC, is requesting a six-month extension of the Commercial Façade Improvement Grant for the property located at 207 Orange Avenue.

The Recipient previously received extensions to allow additional time to complete the Historic Preservation review process, obtain required permits, and begin construction. The Recipient states that project delays were related to tenant transition, completion of tenant improvements, Historic Preservation Board review, and unforeseen conditions identified during the evaluation of the existing storefront.

The Recipient has advised that progress has continued, including completion of tenant renovations, installation of a new air-conditioning system, submission of the building permit application for colonial shutters, and purchase of approved project items, including flower boxes, and security cameras.

During construction planning, the Recipient and contractor identified unforeseen conditions with the existing storefront configuration that require additional design coordination to ensure compliance with ADA requirements, current building codes, historic preservation standards, and the project’s intended improvements. The Recipient is requesting additional time to redesign the storefront, obtain remaining permits, fabricate custom hurricane-impact storefront systems, and complete the façade improvements.

If approved, the six-month extension would extend the permit deadline to January 10, 2027.
