Approval of Specific Authorization No. 1 with BCER Engineering for Building Condition Assessments for Percy Peek Gymnasium and Cobb's Landing in an amount not to exceed $27,770.00.

Staff is seeking approval to enter into a Specific Authorization with BCER Engineering, under their existing Continuing Services Contract, to conduct building condition assessments on two FPRA-owned properties: Percy Peek Gymnasium and Cobb’s Landing. The total cost of these assessments will not exceed $27,770.00.

Percy Peek Gymnasium, currently leased to the Boys and Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County, has potential HVAC concerns and is due for a comprehensive evaluation to document existing conditions and identify any critical or emerging facility needs. Cobb’s Landing, currently operating under a month-to-month lease, requires a full property assessment to support preparation for the forthcoming Request for Proposals (RFP). These assessments will help FPRA evaluate building needs, estimate potential improvement costs, and guide next steps in asset management, leasing, and long-term planning.
 

Goal 7 - The Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency shall increase private sector investment and business development within the Community Redevelopment Area.

Staff recommends approval.

Staff will proceed as directed by the FPRA Board.
