SUBJECT:
Approval of ten (10) year Restrictive Covenant for the City of Fort Pierce Florida Highwaymen Museum preserving it as a cultural facility as the result of receiving the state renovation grant.
SUMMARY:
The City of Fort Pierce/Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency was the recipient of a $483,662.00 state grant for the renovation of 1234 Avenue D, which includes the requirement of a Restrictive covenant. The Restrictive Covenant is a commitment by the property owner that the structure will be used as a cultural facility for a period of 10 years following the date of recordation.
The proposed covenant has been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney and the Florida Department of State Division of Arts & Culture. General Counsel.
