Hawthorne Municipal Airport Rehabilitation Taxiway N& S Lighting, Rehabilitate Taxiway Runway 7/25 Lighting, Rehabilitate Airfield Vault, Replace Airfield Signs & Install Airport Beacon Project (Project #22-09) - Out to Bid.
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Staff recommends that the City Council approve the Plans and Specifications and authorize the Director of Public Works to advertise for construction bids with a return date of May 26th, 2026.
DISCUSSION:
Provide all services, labor, materials, permits, insurance, tools and equipment needed, in accordance with the Plan(s), Technical Provisions, and Specifications to successfully and safely complete the Rehabilitation Taxiway N& S Lighting, Rehabilitate Taxiway Runway 7/25 Lighting, Rehabilitate Airfield Vault, Replace Airfield Signs & Install Airport Beacon for Hawthorne Municipal Airport located at 12101 Crenshaw Blvd., Hawthorne, CA 90250.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIC PLAN:
Improve safety for all airport users and safe operation of airport.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None. The project will be funded through FAA Grant and Airport fund.
NOTICING PROCEDURE:
72 hours posted notice pursuant to the Ralph M. Brown Act.
