Discussion and approval to execute a dealer deputy agreement between the County of Hidalgo and Bert Ogden McAllen Motors, Inc. DBA BMW of Pharr GDN P172868 & Fiesta Mercedes Motors, Inc. DBA Bert Ogden Auto Outlet GDN P142815.  Dealers desire to act as agents of the Tax Assessor Collector in the issuance of motor vehicle registration stickers, license plates and in the application for vehicle titles.  This agreement is subject to the Dealer Deputy providing a surety bond in an amount as determined by the County Tax Assessor-Collector in accordance with applicable law.

Bert Ogden McAllen Motors, Inc. & Fiesta Mercedes Motors, Inc. requested consideration to be authorized Dealer Deputies for Hidalgo County.  Bert Ogden McAllen Motors, Inc. & Fiesta Mercedes Motors, Inc. agreed to comply with the requirements of the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles WebDealer system.  The Dealer Deputy will furnish and maintain any necessary equipment.  Transportation Code Sec 520.0071 DEPUTIES states a county assessor-collector, with the approval of the commissioners court of the county, may deputize an individual or business entity to perform titling and registration services in accordance with rules prescribed and adopted in the Texas Administrative Code Title 43 Part 10 Chapter 217 Subchapter H.
