The Urban County Program, is requesting cancellation of the final negotiated contract with Noe Garza Engineers Inc., with a fee of $44,000.00 in connection with the City of Elsa for a Water/Sewer Improvements project utilizing Years 18 (2005) funds.
BACKGROUND
Hidalgo County Urban County Program executed a contract with Noe Garza Engineers, Inc. in the amount of $44,000.00 for the 2006 Water/Sewer Improvements project and it was approved by Hidalgo County Commissioner's Court on December 11, 2007. The city of Elsa has requested that the contract be terminated because they opted to focus on water improvements that are necessary as required by TECQ. No work has been completed by the engineer regarding the scope of service for said contract.
