CAPTION

District Attorney – Office of the Governor Grants (1281):
Requesting approval to reclassify accrued leave, including annual, compensatory leave and holiday pay earned during the grant fiscal year (grant period), for all District Attorney’s Office grants funded by the Office of the Governor (OOG), that exceeds the allowable amount, to the District Attorney’s Criminal DA General Fund account.

BACKGROUND

The Office of the Governor (OOG) permits grant funds to be used to compensate grant-funded employees for accrued leave upon separation from employment. However, pursuant to OOG regulations, such payments are limited to leave accrued during the current grant period (fiscal year). If approved, any accrued leave balance exceeding the amount earned during the applicable grant period will be reclassified to the District Attorney’s Criminal DA General Fund account for the following grants: Border Prosecution Unit (BPU), Victims Assistance Program (VAP), Domestic Violence Unit (DVU), and Domestic Violence Specialty Prosecutor (DVSP).
