Presentation for discussion, consideration and action necessary on the "Emergency Declaration" approved by the City of Elsa in connection with the immediate replacement of the main lift station pumps, control panel and wiring, suction and discharge piping located at the City Sewer Plant.  Improvements are to be funded by the City of Elsa Water/Sewer activity utilizing Urban County Program Year (16) 2003 and (18) 2005.

BACKGROUND

The City of Elsa needs to upgrade the capacity of the lift station pumps to meet its increase of sewer discharges.  The improvements will alleviate the sewer backups, detrimental to the health and safety of the residents and also comply with TCEQ discharge and capacity requirements.

Year 2005 (18)       $332,316.01
