The Urban County Program is requesting authority to purchase a Fire Truck (Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc, Model RP1003 Pumper) mounted on an Intruder II Chassis with equipment through Hidalgo County's membership and participation with TASB (BuyBoard) awarded vendor Hall Buick Pontiac GMC in the amount not to exceed $257,000.00, which includes delivery, pre-payment discount and buyboard fees.
BACKGROUND
Hidalgo County Precinct No. 1 has allocated $257,000.00 from it's 2008 FY funding for the purchase of Fire Truck for the City of Edcouch. A pre-payment option was accepted to obtain a discount of $4,287.00. Full payment will be made in advance, and the fire truck will be delivered within 30 days after award of contract. Urban County Program will utilize fiscal year 2008 in the amount of $257,000.00 from Precinct No. 1 Fire Station Equipment line item and the fire truck will be stationed at the Edcouch Fire Department, located at 200 West Santa Rosa Avenue.
