Hidalgo County Urban County Program requests approval to amend the Interlocal Agreement between Hidalgo County Precinct #3, and La Joya Water Supply Corporation, to include a name change as follows: Hidalgo County Precinct #3 and Agua Special Utility District to consent to the assignment of the Subject Contract.
BACKGROUND
The agreement amendment to change the name of the corporation is pursuant to Section 7201.02 of the Special District Local Laws Code, the Texas legislature has mandated that LJWSC transfer all of its assets, debts, and contractual rights and obligations to Agua Special Utility District. The transfer will be effective upon order of the receivership court, effective date of September 30, 2008.
