BACKGROUND
Requesting approval to enter into an inter-local agreement between the County of Hidalgo Urban County Program and Proyecto Azteca, a non-profit organization, as allowed under SB 1509 Colonia Self-Help Center Initiative. The contract involves housing services such as rehabilitation of private properties, new construction, reconstruction, construction skills training, homeownership classes & assistance, solid waste removal, technology access, tool library program and home repairs. Housing services will be provided in the following colonias:
