The Urban County Program is requesting approval and award of contract to Solis & Chapa Inc. in the amount of $40,000.00 for the Water/Sewer Improvements Project in the City of Edcouch utilizing Year 20 (2007) funds.

BACKGROUND

City of Edcouch has requested and received bids for a Water/Sewer Improvements project to include the installation of manholes on Robert Street, Lopez Street, Gonzalez and Murio Street, within the City of Edcouch.  The lowest qualified bid was received from Solis & Chapa Inc. in the amount of $40,000.00.  (See attached bid tabulation sheet.)  Letter of recommendation from J.E. Saenz & Associate is also attached for your review.
