Requesting authorization to dispose of Community Development Block Grant records for Program Years 1991 thru 1997.

BACKGROUND

The San Antonio Housing & Urban Development regional office notified all administrative entities within the region that it had disposed of all CDBG records for Fiscal years 1991 thru 1997. Federal regulations governing record retention require the County to maintain pertinent records for a period of 3 years from the date of closeout. This requirement has been met.

On March 15, 2005 the County Commissioners’ Court approved Urban County Program to dispose records for years 1988-1991.
