Requesting authorization to extend fiscal year agreement with Mujeres Unidas/Women Together-ESG Program YR 20- (2007) until May 15, 2009.  Their agreement terminated Dec. 31, 2008 and was extended through February 28, 2009.

UCP is requesting authorization to amend the agreement between Mujeres Unidas/Women Together and the Hidalgo County ESG Program-YR 20 (2007) until May 15, 2009.  Mujeres Unidas/Women Together’s initial request was for an extension until April 30, 2009; however, they were approved for an extension through Feb. 28, 2009.  Since then, they have not been able to meet their obligations. We anticipate that they will be able to spend the remaining funds for YR 20 by May 15,  2009.  We recommend approval of the extension.  The two year contract with HUD for YR 20 ends on June 30, 2009.

The grant awarded to Mujeres Unidas/Women Together in the amount of $203,000.00 will not change.
