Presentation for discussion, consideration, acceptance, and approval to enter into an Interlocal Agreement (forwarded for review as to form by legal counsel) between Hidalgo County (Sheriff's Office) and The City Of Elsa, Texas Police Department in connection with the transfer of three (3) Sheriff's Office Vehicles (currently not utilized by HCSO).
BACKGROUND
As per request from Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office, transferring of the three (3) vehicles are due to be surplus due to age and high mileage. City of Elsa's budget constraint, they are unable to fund new units and their current police fleet is in worse conditions than the Sheriff's surplus vehicles.
