Authorization and approval for both the offices of Sheriff and District Attorney to apply for the FY2010-2011 Victim Coordinator and Liaison Grant (VCLG) with the Office of the Attorney General.
BACKGROUND
The grant contract period is for two (2) years (September 01, 2009 to August 31, 2011).
Both offices will be applying for the maximum amount of $39,000.00 for each of the two (2) years.
No local match is required by the grantor. Due to the insufficient amount of the grant award, additional funding for the respective employee's salary and fringe benefits is required--for the Sheriff's Office from General Fund and for the District Attorney's Office from the D.A. discretionary funds.
