Request approval to cancel the Proyecto Azteca "Fixed Units Contract" under the HOME Program.

BACKGROUND

The Hidalgo County Commissioner's Court approved the contract on October 5, 2004 for the construction of fifteen (15) emergency housing units.  Since then, the Urban County Program Home Division has built 10 units.  Due to regulatory requirement of spending the money within 5 years, the Urban County Program Home Division is requesting cancellation of the Proyecto Azteca contract.  Once cancelled, Urban County Program will spend the remaining funds through it's Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program.

The Urban County Program respectfully requests approval to cancel the fixed unit contract.
