1. Discussion, consideration and action to request the County Auditor’s office to establish procedures/requirements in writing and provide advice to all potential vendors prior to an implementation of any construction
or procurement contract which may require special State, and/or Federal protocols.

Discussion, consideration and action recommending and encouraging the Hidalgo County Board of Judges to direct the County Auditor to establish procedures/requirements in writing and provide advice to all potential vendors prior to an implementation of any construction or procurement contract which may require special State, and/or Federal protocols.

BACKGROUND

Due to the recent conflicts involving various construction contracts, it is vital that clear and unambiguous procedures be developed and implemented to facilitate all processing procedures without discrepancy and/or delay. In addition, procedures will allow for assurance that all compliance with State and Federal requirements involving any construction or procurement are met.
