Urban County Program is requesting approval of a Budget and Program Amendment for the City of La Joya Urban County Program Year 19 (2006), Year 21 (2008) and Year 22 (2009). The amendment will create a Public Facilities activity to construct a municipal library.
BACKGROUND
The proposed amendment for the City of La Joya will affect the existing work plans in UCP Year 19 (2006), 21 (2008) and 22 (2009). A Public Hearing was held on March 23, 2010 at 6:00 p.m., and citizen participation requirements have been met. See attached detailed amendment.
The proposed budget and program amendment will amend funds as follows for the purpose of creating a Public Facilities activity for each respective year for the Construction of La Joya Municipal Library to include architectural services, testing, facility construction, parking lot, equipment, supplies, and all related appurtenances.
Year 19 (2006): decrease Street Improvement funds in the amount of $50,564.09 and allocate funds for the Public Facilities activity.
Year 21 (2008): decrease Fire Station Equipment funds in the amount of $15,000.00 and allocate funds for the Public Facilities activity.
Year 22 (2009): delete Street Improvement funds in the amount of $207,011.00 and Fire Station Equipment funds in the amount of $20,000.00 and allocate funds for the Public Facilities activity.
