1. Requesting exemption from competitive bidding requirements under the Texas Local Government Code, Section 262.024(a), (4) a professional service for the provision of civil engineering services in connection with Construction Staking for Parking Lot for the New Adult Probation Department building and as recommended by project architect, Rike Ogden Figueroa Allex Architects.
2. Requesting authority to negotiate professional engineering services contract (subject to legal review) with Hinojosa Engineering, Inc.for: Construction Staking for the Parking Lot for the New Adult Probation Department building.
BACKGROUND
Note: Hinojosa Engineering, Inc. is the current contract engineer for the new Adult Probation Building parking lot improvements. Staking services are not part of the current contract and thus must be contracted separately. Therefore, based on the architects recommendation, County will proceed to select the same engineering firm of Hinojosa Engineering, Inc. inasmuch as they are already on site and providing all other related services.
