Urban County Program on behalf of the Hidalgo County Precinct No. 1 is requesting consideration and action to award and enter into a Construction Contract with Sascon Inc. (lowest bidder meeting all specifications and/or requirements) for the Street Improvements Project located in the City of Donna in the amount of $38,626.00 utilizing Year 22 (2009) street improvement funds. The project consists of street reconstruction to 12th Street.
BACKGROUND
Hidalgo County Precinct No. 1 has requested and received bids for the street improvements project. Noe Garza Engineers, Inc. prepared specification packages and bids were received and opened at the Hidalgo County - Purchasing Department on May 26, 2010. After review the project engineer recommended Sascon, Inc., as the lowest of two (2) qualified bidders. (See attached recommendation letter from Noe Garza Engineers, Inc., copy of bid tabulations and letter from Hidalgo County Precinct No. 1 requesting approval).
