BACKGROUND
Commissioners' Court approved applying for the grant on 08/04/09 (AI-16725 $887,560) and 08/18/09 (AI-16961 Supplemenatl $500,762).
Grant amount of $1,388,322.00 has been awarded to the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office and the city police departments (sixteen) of Alamo, Alton, Donna, Elsa, Hidalgo, La Joya, Mercedes, Mission, Palmhurst, Palmview, Penitas, Pharr, Progreso, San Juan, Sullivan City, and Weslaco. Individual Sub-Recepient Agreements between Hidalgo County and the cities will be presented to Commissioner's Court at a later date. Budget appropriations will be submitted at a later date.
The grant performance period is August 01, 2009 to April 01, 2012. Federal Grant Award No. 2009-SJ-T90011.
Deadline to submit award acceptance is June 23, 2010.
