Urban County Program is requesting authorization to submit a request to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for a $1,002,033.00 pre-award cost agreement for renovations of a historical facility in Hidalgo, Texas to continue the Non-Residential Historical Preservation Project.

The City of Hidalgo has received a Release of Funds in the amount of $234,011.00 in YR 23 (2010) for their Non-Residential Historical Preservation project which consists of the restoration of the Hidalgo County Courthouse to its original courthouse state and will be converted into a combination museum, tourist center, and Hidalgo County Heritage Foundation Office, all of which will benefit the low to moderate income residents of the community. The pre-award cost agreement will require annual payments from the City of Hidalgo's UCP allocation.
