The Urban County Program on behalf of the City of Alton is requesting approval and award of best and final negotiated contract with Terracon Consultants, Inc. in the amount of $15,100.00 utilizing CDBG Year 22 & 23 (2009 & 2010) Street Improvements funds.

BACKGROUND

Terracon has submitted a best and final offer for construction material testing and geotechnical engineering services for the 2009 & 2010 City of Alton - Street Improvements project.  Terracon Consultants, Inc. was the highest ranked firm by County Commissioner’s Court.  Contract approval in the amount of $15,100.00.  See attached scope of services and Best and Final Offer Letter.

Contract Amount:        $ 15,100.00

Funds Available:          $  80,893.69  FY 22 (2009) – Street Improvements 
                                    $249,727.00  FY 23 (2010) – Street Improvements
Total:                           $330,620.69
