Consideration and approval to revise resolution and authorizing the submission of Contract Amendment Request No. 5 to Hidalgo County’s Texas General Land Office (GLO) Contract No. 10-5066-000-5049/DRS 010068 to incorporate additional funding committed by Precinct No. 2 from $535,408.39 to $1,045,463.71 increasing the projects budget by $510,055.32 for a total of $1,645,463.71 for the Minnesota Drainage Improvements Project and authorize County Judge to sign all contract documents requests submitted to GLO.
BACKGROUND
The Urban County Program has been coordinating with Hidalgo County Precinct No.2 in an effort to revise the resolution and submit an amendment request to GLO to amend Contract No. 10-5066-000-5049/DRS 010068 to increase local funding committed by Hidalgo County Precinct No.2 from $535,408.39 to $1,045,463.71, the overall cost estimation is $1,645,463.71 which will allow the County to make regional drainage improvements to an area where the City intended to apply the state award funds.

Available funds as of 1/13/12; pending 2011 carryover. Total project cost is $1,645,463.71 of which $600,000.00 are Urban County funds and $1,045,463.71 are Precinct #2 funds.
