BACKGROUND
In the effort to assist in reducing juvenile offending through accountability-based programs focused on the juvenile offender, Hidalgo County was notified by The Governor’s Criminal Justice Division (CJD) that our jurisdiction is eligible to apply for a $37,789.00 federal award with a 10% cash match of $4,198.78 for the coming grant year. The allocation is based on an annual calculation of juvenile crime data in this area. Applications must be submitted online and certified through their website on or before January 31, 2012 to be considered for funding.
