The UCP on behalf of Hidalgo County Pct. No. 1 is requesting the approval of Amendment No. 1 to the existing engineering contract for Texas Department of Agriculture Contract #729055 (Colonias De Anda and Saenz) and approval of additional engineering services for additional sanitary sewer service lines with Guzman & Munoz Engineering and Surveying, Inc. in the amount of $12,108.00. Precinct 1 CDBG Year 22 (2009-Water/Sewer Improvements) funding shall be utilized.

Due to extenuating circumstances such as that we found that a sewer section of about 680 linear feet that should have connected Colonia De Anda & Saenz to a lift station was not in place and an amendment for additional engineering services is being requested. Guzman & Munoz Engineering and Surveying, Inc. has submitted a best and final offer for professional engineering services for the additional sanitary sewer lines services for the sewer improvements for Colonia De Anda and Colonia Saenz within Pct. No. 1 in the City Mercedes ETJ area. See amendment, scope of service, and engineering cost & fee attached.
