1. Requesting exemption from competitive bidding requirements the Texas Local Government Code 262.024 (a)(2) for emergency improvements to a collapsed manhole and sewer lines located at an alley between Fordyce Street and South 8th Street in the City of Donna. Urban County Program Year 19 (2006) water/sewer funds will be utilized.

BACKGROUND
City of Donna requests approval to enter into an agreement for the emergency improvements to a collapsed manhole and sewer lines in the City of Donna. The reconstruction of this manhole, located at an alley between Fordyce Street and South 8th Street, was originally part of the Year 19 (2006) workplan for Water/Sewer Improvements. The collapse of the manhole is creating an emergency health hazard. Sewage is backing-up into homes in the surrounding neighborhood.
Funds Available: $32,959.00 Year 19 (2006)
