Requesting authorization for Hidalgo County Health & Human Services Dept. to collaborate with the University of Texas – Pan American – College of Health Science and Human Services for the purpose of establishing a model of healthcare that will teach an inter-professional team approach in managing healthcare problems for the poor and underserved as proposed in their grant application to U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. While the main applicant for this grant will be UT-Pan Am, Hidalgo County Health & Human Services Dept. will participate through a Memorandum of Agreement. Hidalgo County’s role would be to provide access to county clinics and patients.
