Requesting approval of a budget and program amendment for the City of Edcouch to its Urban County Program FY 22 & 24 (2009 & 2011) work plans. The amendment will delete the Planning activity and create a Water/Sewer Improvements activity and allocate $27,000.00 for FY 22 (2009); will decrease the Side Walks activity by $57,481.00 and create a Flood Drainage Improvements activity and allocate $57,481.00 for FY 24 (2011).
BACKGROUND
A Public Hearing was held on March 20, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. and citizen participation requirements have been met. City of Edcouch proposed a budget and program amendment for Fiscal Years 22 & 24 (2009 & 2011):
The proposed amendment for FY 22 (2009) will delete:
Planning Activity
The proposed amendment for FY 24 (2009) will create:
Water/Sewer Improvements activity will allocate $27,000.00 for the upgrade of water plant monitoring systems as well as the purchase and installation of water plant upgrades in order to be in compliance of TCEQ regulations. This includes the installation of permanent electrical wiring on underground conduit for pumps and motor controllers, the installation of sludge transfer pump, clarifier scrapper motors, air compressor and the relocation and electrical wiring and upgrading of the SCADA program system. This project will be in conjunction with a Precinct No. 1 - 2009 work plan; to include but not limited to engineering professional service fees, material testing fees, advertisements and related appurtenances as they pertain to project completion for a project already included in the 2008 & 2010 work plans and;
The proposed amendment for FY 24(2011) will decrease:
Side Walks by $57,481.00
The proposed amendment for FY 24 (2011) will increase:
Flood Drainage Improvements activity will allocate $57,481.00 for the excavation and widening of ditches and other services such as engineering, surveying, testing, and any other appurtenances to complete the project at North west side of town including farm tract 614 & 615 and the south west side of town including farm tracts 562 & 505 a project already included in the 2010 work plan.
