County Auditor's Office:
Requesting approval to pay membership dues to the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in the amount of $150.00 (Requisition #) for Leticia Chavez, Compliance Supervisor, with the authority for the County Treasurer to issue a check after review, audit and processing procedures are completed by the County Auditor.

The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners' purpose is to reduce the incidence of fraud and white-collar crime and to assist the membership in fraud detection and deterrence (1) by providing bona fide qualifications for Certified Fraud Examiners through the administration of the CFE Examination; (2) by setting high standards for admission, including demonstrated competence through mandatory continuing professional education; (3) requiring Certified Fraud Examiners to adhere to a strict code of conduct and ethics; (4) by serving as the international representative for Certified Fraud Examiners to business, government, and academic institutions; and, (5) by providing leadership to inspire public confidence in the integrity, objectivity and professionalism of Certified Fraud Examiners.
